Get up to $20,000 back in Quebec

Still available!

In Quebec, the Greener Homes Grant funding is available through the provincial government’s Rénoclimat program. For window and door replacements with qualifying products, the program covers $60 per rough opening, and up to $20,000 in total per single-family home. Participation in the program has to be initiated through Renoclimat and/or through its approved EnerGuide advisors.

Canada Greener Homes Grant: up to $5,000 back!

As of January 19, 2024, the Canada's Greener Homes grant has been paused.

Announced in 2020 and launched in 2021, the Canada Greener Homes Grant reimburses up to $5000 for qualifying retrofits. The grant is conditional on performing an EnerGuide home assessment, and also covers an extra of up to $600 for it. Qualifying retrofits should be recommended by the advisor to make residences more energy-efficient, and can include windows and doors, home insulation, heating equipment, and renewable energy. Other upgrades like resiliency measures, air sealing, and programmable thermostats are also covered, albeit to a lesser extent.

Now, up to $10,000 back in Ontario!

As of January 19, 2024, the HER+ program has been paused.

As of 2023, the Canada Greener Homes Grant is implemented in Ontario by Enbridge Gas, whose Home Efficiency Rebate (HER) was expanded to the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program. Under the new program, the maximum redeemable amount for Enbridge Gas customers went up from $250 to $325 per qualifying window, and the maximum total increased from $5,000 to $10,000. That’s great news for those looking to undertake more extensive home improvements.

faq

  • Up to $5,000 is available as all retrofits under the Canada Greener Homes Grant for all homeowners.
  • Enbridge Gas customers in Ontario can get up to $10,000 through the HER+ program.
  • Quebec residents can claim up to $20,000 through the Renoclimat program.

The EnerGuide audit costs extra, but up to $600 extra can be reimbursed from the Canada Greener Homes Grant. That additional $600 doesn’t count towards your maximum grant/rebate amount.

Windows and door grants are calculated on a rough opening basis. That means that multi-panel/composite windows, or doors with sidelites and transoms, are treated as a single unit per rough opening. For example, your bay window may consist of three or more separate frames, but it is still counted as filling a single rough opening.

In Ontario, up to $325 per rough opening can be redeemed through the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program from Enbridge Gas.

In Quebec, up to $60 per rough opening can be redeemed through the Rénoclimat provincial government program.

No. Glass-only or sash replacement for windows, or door slab or insert replacement for doors, without a frame replacement, are ineligible for the grant/rebate.

All products must be purchased and manufactured in Canada.

All eligible manufacturers and their products must be registered on the NRCan database and ENERGY STAR rated. All of our windows are registered under manufacturer Nordik Windows.

All Energy Star labels must be kept on the windows and doors until after the final energy audit. Should any labels be misplaced after installation, please contact us for new labels.
